Join the 6-Week Latina Anti-diet experience

You don’t have to do this alone, Chula. Heal your relationship with food using The Latina Anti-Diet as your guide.

This group will run from every Tuesday: January 27 - March 3, 2026, and will follow The Latina Anti-Diet book.

  • Week 1: Understanding and dismantling diet culture. We’ll discuss why BMI is BS, how damaging diets can be to your health, and why the media can feel so influential and how to arm yourself with knowledge against false narratives.

  • Weeks 2 and 3: Intuitive Eating Fundamentals. We’ll discuss the intuitive eating principles with a sprinkling of sazón. You’ll learn the pros and cons of intuitive eating (especially from a cultural perspective) and how to practice it as a chula.

  • Week 4: Challenging Negative Thoughts & Honoring Your Body. We’ll discuss how to challenge body image distortions in our Latine community, how to find neutrality with your body and weight, how to address inflammation, stress, and hormonal disruptions, and how to make food choices that honor your health and needs.

  • Week 5: Understanding Your Needs & Listening to Your Body’s Cues. We’ll discuss hormonal responses to chronic stress, how we behave when we’re stressed, the influence of genetics and biology, and the environmental factors that shape our food choices. We’ll also dive into Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs and how Food Habituation (repeated exposure to foods) helps to decrease food noise.

  • Week 6: Acknowledging Emotions & Full Flavor Living. We’ll discuss food as comfort, how to reframe emotional eating, and how to add nutrition to your plate, instead of taking away all the foods you grew up with and love.
